Years 5 & 6

Students in Years 5 and 6 consolidate and build on their literacy and numeracy knowledge and skills. They are becoming independent readers and writers who further develop the ability to speak, listen, read, view and write with enjoyment, purpose and confidence in a wide range of contexts.  Through our comprehensive numeracy program students further develop their conceptual understanding of mathematics and the skills needed to transfer their knowledge to solve problems.
